DO I OWN THE BEAT AFTER I PURCHASE IT?
Not necessarily. A license gives you permission to use the beat according to specific terms. Purchasing a license does not automatically transfer copyright ownership.
Exclusive licensing provides exclusive usage rights according to the applicable agreement while ownership rights remain governed by that agreement.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BASIC, PREMIUM, AND EXCLUSIVE?
Each license provides a different level of usage rights, file quality, and distribution allowances.
Basic is designed for more limited usage.
Premium provides expanded rights and higher-quality files.
Exclusive provides the highest level of usage rights and removes the beat from future licensing availability after purchase, subject to the agreement.
CAN I USE THE BEAT ON SPOTIFY, APPLE MUSIC, YOUTUBE, AND OTHER PLATFORMS?
Your ability to distribute and monetize a song depends on the license you purchase and its applicable limitations.
Always review your license before releasing the finished record.
CAN I MODIFY THE BEAT?
You may generally edit, arrange, mix, or otherwise adapt the production as permitted by your license. However, you may not claim authorship of the original production or use it outside the rights granted by your agreement.
CAN I SELL OR GIVE THE BEAT TO SOMEONE ELSE?
No. Your license is intended for your use and may not be resold, transferred, sublicensed, leased, or redistributed except where the applicable agreement expressly permits it.
DO I HAVE TO CREDIT LT?
Yes. Unless your applicable agreement states otherwise, producer credit should be provided as:
"Prod. by LT"
CAN I REGISTER THE BEAT WITH CONTENT ID?
Content ID and other fingerprinting systems are subject to the restrictions in your license agreement. In particular, non-exclusive licensees may not claim the underlying instrumental as their own or register the beat itself in a way that conflicts with other authorized users.
WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS ALREADY LICENSED THE SAME BEAT?
Basic and Premium licenses are non-exclusive, meaning the same production may be licensed to multiple artists.
If you require exclusive rights, purchase the Exclusive License when available.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN EXCLUSIVE LICENSE IS SOLD?
Once an Exclusive License is sold, the beat will no longer be offered for new licenses, subject to the terms of the applicable agreement.
Existing licenses and previously authorized uses remain governed by their respective agreements.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
Because digital audio products can be downloaded immediately after purchase, sales are generally final once files have been delivered or made available for download, except where required by applicable law or expressly provided by LTR Music Group.
